Jerry Friedman Scholarship Fund
Jerry Friedman was a strong believer in helping others and a passionate leader in the public human services community. He has served for over 31 years to a number of health and human services leadership positions and before his untimely death had served in many nationwide initiatives throughout his life. Jerry was a beloved friend and in his honor, the National NEW PATHS chapter has created a scholarship fund in his name to help those dedicated and committed NEW members in attending our annual conferences by paying for their registration for those that have no thought of being reimbursed.
To apply for the Jerry Friedman Scholarship, click the button below and print the form. Be sure to complete all of the information on the form and submit this application to the NEW PATHS registration counter at the conference before noon August 21, 2018. The applicant must be present at the conference to apply. The winner will be announced on Wednesday August 22. In short, the Jerry Friedman Scholarship Fund allows those conference attendees who have paid their own conference registration the ability to submit their name into a drawing to get reimbursed. The amount of reimbursement varies from year to year based on funding. Those expecting to be reimbursed by their agency, employment, or chapter are not eligible (see additional note below).
NOTE: Scholarship awards will be available to any member who attends a National Training Conference having paid their own registration, transportation costs, room and daily expenses and has not or will not receive any monies from a Chapter, agency or other source to cover any of the expenses noted.
