National Board Members
The National Board of Directors is the governing body of the Association and exercises all the power and authority over the affairs of the Association during the interim between the annual meetings of the Association excepting that of modifying any action taken by the Association.
Board members are elected annually by the membership for a term of three years. The board is composed of fourteen elected members and the Immediate Past-President. A National President, Vice-President, Secretary, and Treasurer are elected by the board for terms of two years.

Marshall Wilmot
NEW PATHS President External Relations Chair Marshall began his 34 year career in Human Services as a LTC eligibility worker and is currently a Deputy Assistant Director for the Arizona Medicaid Agency. Marshall is on the National PARIS Board of Directors. He has been a NEW PATHS member for 24 years. |
Doreen Michals
NEW PATHS Vice President Membership Chair Conference Site Chair Doreen joined the NEW PATHS Board in 2020 and is beginning her second term. She retired from Boulder County (Colorado) Housing and Human Services where she was the Program Integrity Manager. She lives in Loveland, CO with her husband and three rescue dogs. |
Theresa Brown
NEW PATHS Secretary P&P / Bylaws - Chair Theresa lives in central California and has worked in Human Services for 20 years. She currently handles a case load of Cash Aid, Food Stamps, Medi-Cal cases. She has 4 children and 1 grandchild. In her free time, Theresa enjoys building puzzles and playing bingo. She has been a NEW PATHS member for ten years.

Trina Richards
NEW PATHS Treasurer Communications Chair Historian Trina has served on the Alaska Chapter NEW PATHS Board for 17 years and this is her first year on the National Board. She's worked in public assistance for the State of Alaska for over 26 years and is currently a Quality Control Supervisor. Trina's free time is filled with sewing, reading, hiking, and adventures with her granddaughter.

Brenda Nichols
Conference Program Co-Chair Professional Development Chair Brenda has worked for the State of Arizona, Division of Benefits and Medical Eligibility for 26 years. She is currently serving in the role of Bureau Chief over the Program Support Administration which provides educational support as well as continuous improvement guidance and structure to eligibility staff and others working for the division. |
Marissa Adams Nominations and Credentials Chair Marissa, with 19 years experience in the human services field, currently serves as the Deputy Director of the Forsyth County Department of Social Services. A proud HBCU graduate, she completed her graduate degree at Winston-Salem State University and is now pursuing her MSW at Walden University. Marissa's love for helping people is at the core of her work, reassuring those she serves of her unwavering dedication. She is most proud of her family, especially her 90 year old grandfather and her grown daughter, a chef. |
